1.1 - Let's dive right on in shall we

My name is Blams and this is my first TS4 ISBI

Not my first ISBI though I’m a weakling for these it seems

There might be rules for an ISBI challenge in the Sims 4 already (probably), but I’m going to be playing my own version. A version that I will be tweaking as I go along lol

You can check out my rules here

But the CORE GAMEPLAY is the same. I can only control ONE sim at a time and I have to watch as the others flounder in their attempts to survive.

I’m not as familiar with TS4 as I am with TS3 either soooooo THIS’LL BE A FUN JOURNEY

Anyway, I can explain more things to you guys as we go, but THIS is where I’m setting down with my Hadleys. OASIS SPRINGS.

And this GAL is my First Torch Holder.

TATIANA HADLEY

She’s an adventurous, jealous maker who is also a spellcaster. Which is what led me to decide that my genetic insane trait is going to be spellcaster. (In TS3 every sim needed to have the insane trait, but you only get three traits in TS4 so whines, for this challenge it’s going to be spellcaster because only weirdos believe in magic)

Tatiana: (snorts)

So for the very PERCEPTIVE ONES you might’ve noticed that I gave her the soulmate aspiration. Easy completion

It’s because I’m weak for romance and also this lady already HAS a lover. She’s a pre-existing character of mine who agreed to indulge in this challenge with me.

As long as her lovely Sarah got to join her.

Tatiana: That’s a beautiful and perfect picture. That alone makes your chapter top tier already.

As Tatiana uses the FIRST FREE WILL of this challenge to launch herself over and talk to Sarah…

I agree this seems like a rather small lot, but I'll be honest with you guys (40x30 i think?)

I got too lazy to start bulldozing stuff so instead I'm just going to get creative with levels with this lot.

TS4 has faults, but it hasn't yet been WEIRD with multiple levels like TS3 gets.

Thing is, in an ISBI right... you gotta watch OTHER sims exist and for now the only one I can't control is Sarah... And the first thing she's off doing after this is cooking food for them.

Tatiana: She's just that wonderful

AGREED free will being pretty good with her so far

These two are pretty cute lol

I tend to just fall into the routine of taking care of needs

And they just both whisk in and interrupt me to get some romantic time on XD

Part of this is an experiment for me too - comparing the free will between sims games that is.

I noticed her staring at the easel though which got me wondering if in TS4 sims can autonomously paint? Like in TS3? I HOPE SO

Liv says they should be able to because of the festival but we'll have to SEE

Ended up watching these TS3 soap operas with Sarah

and they're actually pretty HILARIOUS and well done lmaooo

Oh yeah fun fact if

a non controllable sim somehow maxes a skill I get points for that too

Also if my torch holder does, but I get MORE if it was all free will

Lmao Sarah keeps going to watch Romantic movies so I watch them with her

and I'm dying

these explosions are GREAT

Because the way to do explosions in TS3 is with bombs you craft and place. So these explosions happening on unroutable terrain... And then the dramatic music and plot for these... they really put some effort in this and I'm LIVING for it

It's really quite gorgeous, well done EA

We didn't do TOO much here yet because I am poor and my sims are tired

BUT Lol

There's a collection for magical items, including familiars, and Tatiana gets a NICE RAVEN NAMED PECK

Also she gets to ask her Sarah to be her girlfriend under the pretty lighting

WHICH Happens to finish part 1 of BOTH their aspirations (as they both have Soulmate yeehehehe)

So far things are GREAT

My gosh, how did I get so many negative points in my other ISBI?

This is just going to be smooth sailing FOREVER I have no doubt

It's a work day for Tatiana again and Sarah is being darn ADORABLE once more
